Thick milky waves of fog rolling over the tree-lined hills of Mt. Tamalpais.
waves of fog

"Waves of fog" was taken from one of the many looping hikes at Mt. Tamalpais. I have this geo-location favorite on maps because it always feels like a surreal hike. The rolling hills feel like you are in Scotland and the trails are just wide enough to trail run.

Getting images like this takes a bit of luck. I've hiked this trail countless times but on this day the fog rolled in thick milky waves that barely rolled over trees. This print is available in a few different formats to take advantage of the wideness of the fog.

The rest of these series of photos are from my print store release in 2021.

"The two hungers" is named after a quote I read in passing.

"The bushmen in the kalahari desert talk about the two "hungers". there is the great hunger and there is the little hunger. the little hunger wants food for the belly; but the great hunger, the greatest hunger of all, is the hunger for meaning."

This was taken at Zabriskie point in death valley. A place of incredible extremes. You are reminded of our most elemental needs, the hunger for meaning.

"Dreams of arrakis" is another shot taken at Zabriskie point in Death Valley. In this shot, my buddy Dev is seen looking into the sun, longing to leave the scorched planet of Arrakis.

"Hawaiian gardens" was taken in Kaua'i from a lookout point directly above farmland. I flew my drone out and got some gorgeous shots as the sun reflected against the pools of water.

The ridges of the Nā Pali coast shot from a drone, with a rainbow arcing over the coastline.

little boxes

"The ridges of nā pali" is looking back onto the edges of Kaua'i'n coast. This was taken with a drone and sent as far as the remote signal would allow. At that point, I didn't have a video feed and had to trust the photo was taken correctly framed. The rainbow was the cherry on top.

"Little boxes" shows the strings of homes draped on the hillsides of Daly City. Named after the song of similar name written by Malvina Reynolds and made popular in the tv show, Weeds.
