The towers of the Golden Gate Bridge rising above a thick blanket of fog, shot from a small plane at sunset.
golden gate in the fog

I shot "golden gate in the fog" while flying in a Cessna 172 piloted by a friend, Oleksii. It was breathtaking. The fog slowly rolled into and over the Marin highlands throughout the ride. It's one of those moments you remember for the rest of your life.

The rest of these shots are a series I released in December of 2021 for my first print shop. All prints are for sale and 20% of profits are donated to AFSP and Clean Air Fund.

Radio towers poking out of a glowing fog line at sunset, reminiscent of Howl's Moving Castle.

bay bridge tunnel vision

In "castle in the sky", the fog started glowing with the sunset. These dramatic radio towers would poke out of the fog line, reminiscent of Howl's Moving Castle emerging from the fog line.

The last shot from the plane ride was "sunset fog surf". In this dramatic shot, the Golden Gate Bridge barely peaks out from the fog line.

In "bay bridge tunnel vision", the bay bridge is centered amongst the streets of San Francisco in an iconic shot. This specific intersection is at Powell Street and California.

sunset over coit

In "don't look up", the steep streets of San Francisco make for dramatic compression shots. In this specific shot, we are looking up toward Chinatown.

The last shot of this series is "sunset over coit". This is one of my favorite places to ride my motorcycle. I would wait patiently every day for the sunset and on this day it set perfectly behind the famous, Coit Tower.
